Re: Panasonic G VARIO 12-32mm f3.5-5.6 ASPH Mega O.I.S Lens, Black.

And so have you (THAT counts as sniping, in my book). And I (sniping, too).

I have this lens, and it's tidy and compact, gives good results. It's not the most robust lens in the world, but ......

Re: Some of my portraits...

In the second portrait here, I love the pose and expression, and especially the blues and magenta. Lose the distracting green bag is my suggestion for this one.

Re: Some of my portraits...

The fifth - a snapshot. Sorry, too many distractions, and all partly-hidden or conflicting with each other.

The final one is very good, too - but might it be better cropping out the woman and...

Re: Some of my portraits...

Looking for improvement - my suggestions. One or two suggestions for each picture. But first I will state what I really like about each picture.

The first image: I really like the light, her...

Thanks, Musicman, and just in case anybody was derailed, my original post was

Re: Olympus Kit for sale from long standing original member :)

CEX have been very good to me when descriptions haven't matched expectations. They also clarify if you phone the branch concerned. Camera gear isn't their speciality, which is perhaps why they are...

Re: Olympus Kit for sale from long standing original member :)

Better check your facts - CEX has the 11-22, 14-54, 70-300, the original 40-150, an E5, an E3, a few E410s all in stock at the moment. CEX seems to be the primary source, apart from Ffordes, of 4/3...

Sorry to put a damper on your thread, but these prices seem a bit higher than the market these days. Admittedly, the majority are with boxes, but these prices seem a little higher than Ffordes, and...

Re: E-30 and 4 Thirds Lens

I got into m4/3 via an EPL3, and was amazed by the difference with my E620.

Then I got an EM5 from on here (which ended up without live view through the viewfinder), so tried a Panasonic G5,...

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

Hi again. Do you mean the old 4/3 Sigma 30 / 1.4 compared to the 4/3 Oly 50 / 2 ?

I like them both - I tend to use the former in very low light situations or for portraits if the sitter isn't...

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

I'm with the "sell it in stages" brigade - I still use my 4/3 Oly 9-18 and my 4/3 Oly 50-200 on my EM1(i). I didn't get their equivalent in m4/3 as I think I've not used them enough, if you get what...

Re: E-M5 MkI converted to IR

Oh, and I really like some of my full-spectrum, oddly-coloured, soft pictures - of people in particular, but that's just me :-)

Re: E-M5 MkI converted to IR

My conversion was done by another company than Protech, and they wanted a lens to help make sure it was working correctly. But it works fine with all my many lenses - better with some than others,...

Re: E-M5 MkI converted to IR

A quick bump: I'd recommend trying IR. I don't use my IR-converted camera all the time, but enjoy the occasions when I do !

Re: Four-third kit for sale

It'll need an adapter, Rebnats. Your EM10ii is (newer) m4/3, this gear is (older) 4/3.

Re: Age Survey

Less than 10% of the membership less than 55 ?
Including one canine in that "less than 10%" ?
"OLD" is probably apt :-P

Re: Panasonic 7-14mm, 20mm, 14-140, GX-80

We have two copies of the Panny 20/1.7, but we use both of them, sorry ! And whilst my G5 is a bit erratic, you're not having that, either - it's fine with my new 2nd-hand manual Samyang 7.5 / 3.5...

Re: Sunrise over Bentong.

'S just a f'rexample ! I have enough pictures of my own, and OH has even more, that could do with purple-enhancement :-)

But you could certainly get some money for it !

Re: Sunrise over Bentong.

Whose wall is it going on, what size, and what frame ?!

All versions work for me, but a more purple version would be best in my Living Room :-)

Re: Sunrise over Bentong.

I prefer the pinks and sky in yours, but mine separates out the ridges better (on this monitor, anyway). So, the curves tool was a W-shape (or a double-S).

Re: Sunrise over Bentong.

It's on my desktop ! It's not that much different to the two versions already, and my monitor is not really for photography work. Anyway, I'll see what I can do ...
