Yes lovely shots of a beautiful bird. Nice painting in that first picture it has real potential to pull out the beauty in the bird and stones.

Lovely shots of Wheatears in a natural setting David. I haven't seen any yet this year, although a few have been arriving locally in the past few days.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

That is interesting information David. Unfortunately your link doesn't work for me without logging in to Yahoo. I assume that is a Nightjar in the photo?

Edit. It did work the second time I tried....

Excellent shots of Crossbills in typical habitat David. They are very tricky birds to photograph as they blend in so well.

A splendid selection of sightings there David. I have yet to see a Corncrake in the wild and the diver is nice too.

Which organisation did you take the trip...

Lovely shots David. I especially like the Golden Plover peeking out from behind the seaweed. It is nice to see that you are making good use of the 300mm f/4.

Marvellous natural-looking shots David, especially the Spotted Flycatcher and Whitethroat. That lens certainly seems to deliver – in the right hands. I am very impressed. *chr
