4/3 lens query

Forgive my ignorance but........

If I got hold of a 4/3 lens, would I need an adapter like an MMF-3 to fit it to the EM1 Mk 2?

Re: Black and white and arty

My take on it- not dramatically different. Half the fun is spotting the image in the first place and I would have been very pleased to see it.

Re: Black and white and arty

Its a great spot Keith, love the interplay of patterns. For me personally the shadows are a bit too deep though. B+W certainly the way to go.

Re: Queen Elizabeth

Its true the Royal Navy faces tough times it appears. Not enough men or ships. Given what the service has done for the country over many centuries, that does seen wrong. Same applies to our other...

Queen Elizabeth

A few takes on the Queen Elizabeth currently docked at Portsmouth. Spent a few days there this last week. Quite tricky getting shots from the harbour tour boat because of the crowds so tried taking...

Old train spotter

Aside from my night-shoot at the Severn Valley Railway the other day, I was pleased to get some other shots that brought back memories of my train-spotting days. In particular the mighty Western...

Re: Hand held 12-100 at night

On these particular shots it was high ISO ( I chickened out a bit!)- 1000, 1250 and all the way to 3200. Also used +0.3 exposure compensation.

Re: Hand held 12-100 at night

They were all without flash. Flash is not allowed on these organised night shoots- quite rightly so.

Hand held 12-100 at night

At a night photoshoot yesterday on the Severn Valley Railway, I decided to experiment by leaving the tripod at home. So, just EM1 Mk 2 and the Olympus 12-100. Got some odd, pitying looks from my...

Re: Thinking of an E-P5

Jim,

I had an EPL6 before I got a Pen F. I absolutely loved it. A brilliant travel camera that produces amazing results. So easy to carry, very light and perfect with the 14-42 pancake which I...

Re: Clouds over the Mill

Paul,

Taking a tripod of course but really want to experiment with hand-held and exploit the gear if possible.

The shoot is organised by 30742 Charters (check the Facebook page)- they do rail...

Re: Clouds over the Mill

Superb! Like you, I love the 12-100 even if it is a bit big for a Pen F (Even with a grip). Hope to continue my exploration of it on Friday evening/night at a shoot on the Severn Valley Railway with...

Re: Lens (and other bits) help

Keith,

I have the m4/3 75-300 and love it. It replaced the Sigma 50-500 I used with my old Pentax gear. That lens was used mainly at airshows and the 75-300 does the job excellently. Clearly it is...

The future for our cameras?

I chanced upon an online aricle about the new (and very expensive) Samsung Note 8 phone today. Much talk (and a little demo) about its camera and what it could do. It did at first glance look amazing...

Late summer reflections

Lovely stroll around Gloucester docks with the Pen F earlier trying out the Panasonic 12-60 for the first time. Liking it so far.

Re: Has the 12-100 replaced your 12-40 / 12-35?

I do have both. The 12-40 came with the Mk2 when I got it. Love it and in particular the 2.8 speed end.Did some organised night shoots with it and was very happy.

The 12-100 is a gem too. Heavier...

Thumbs up for the 14-42 EZ

Used today with a Pen F in a very humid butterfly house at Berkely Castle, Gloucestershire. Pretty chuffed with the close-up results. A brilliant little lens in my opinion. A great `carry around` if...

I have the 12-40 and it is brilliant. The range should easily cover your landscape needs and the weather sealing is handing- particularly in Wales!! That said, I have the 9-18 Zuiko which is so small...
