Re: Affinity Photo 1.7 beta

I would love to have that even if it cost a bit extra.

How did you find out about this Steve as I haven't had an email from them?

Re: Serif Black Friday

Only just seen this and I see that you are downloading AP. It is a good programme although I haven't used it a great deal. But at least once you have bought it, it is paid for and updates are free.

Re: Serif Black Friday

Yes, it is worth it at the price I paid. Wouldn't have paid full price. YouTube tutorials are good too.

Re: Serif Black Friday

I got this on a deal earlier in the year, but can't remember what I paid. Got the book with 40% off few months back too.

Re: Three young ladies at the Maritime Museum

I was in Liverpool this last weekend with my wife and friends. Spent much of our time in the docks area as it is so interesting. Enjoyed the Lusitania and Titanic exhibitions in the Maritime Museum...

Re: Three young ladies at the Maritime Museum

Which Maritime Museum, Merseyside? Hard to tell from this fuzzy image ;) (which I actually quite like).

Re: Easy lens changing

I use Araldite with no problem to date. It's a great way of storing two small m43rds primes in a bag that is designed for larger format kit.

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

Having bought my EM1 mk2 in April I don't think that I will be getting the X version. Way out of reach (likely) price-wise. I wonder how successful it will be and how many Canikon users will flock to...

Re: An impala, a leopard and a patient hyena

We went to South Africa in July with Titan. Four different lodges (three nights in each) in different locations topography-wise, all with excellent drives and guides. Fantastic experiences and well...

Re: Bags

Most bags that are available are too deep for m43rds kit, including the one that is on offer from 7DS. However, saying that, I did buying last year for more than the current price. It was excellent...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

Not sensible, but you don't see many Leicas around. That is why. How many of this super duper new camera will Oly sell if the price is what some seem to think it will be. Not as many as the EM1.2 I...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

Who would spend 2.5K - 3K on a new Olympus when the EM1.2 is so good (and half the cost)? How much better does it have to be, and what stellar features will it have, to command such a price?
It...

Re: Hdew em-1 999

I have used HDEW before as have friends. Never had problems. I often recommend them to colleagues based on their half way house standing (grey stock but shop based and still offering good warranties).

We have been there twice. Lovely city and beautiful surroundings too. Also the Rockies where you also went (2005 and more recently 2015). We love Canada!

Re: To edit or not to edit! that's the question?

Not me but I think that I might have looked for a position that didn't include them. Easy for me to say this though as I don't know the area......

I agree with you 100% Paul. I just hope that m43rds continues to evolve as I have no real desire to go Full Frame.

Re: Adobe Upcoming Changes to Creative Cloud OS Support

I said bye-bye to Adobe at home a while back and bought Affinity Photo, although I have Photoshop CC on my office PC if I need it (at no cost to me :D). The best of both worlds :D:D
