Re: My first proper Pro-Capture play

Good pictures!

My trick is to use my iPhone as a trigger. It has a mode in the simple interface to ‘half press’ the shutter button, so provided it’s a case we can use a tripod pointing to a fixed...

Re: EM1 MKII Lock Up

Have you tried with a high speed memory? I use normally Lexar 2000X, never micro versions with adapter, since two years I have not seen that malfunction.

Re: Please advise

Color is good, but to improve what you mention try not to make photos at noon with direct sunligth, it produces very harsh contrast. Early morning, afternoon or a bit cloudy days are better.

To...

Re: Gone all the way

I’m doing quite a bit of BIF since two years and no rolling shutter observed at all.

Just a sample of a duck fast landing across vegetation. Not a great photo but it shows the ability of the...

Re: C-AF - tight/loose

I only use C-AF and I’m almost sure the sensitivy factor does take effect. Those pictures are taken at 0, and shows the camera maintaining the focus even in very challenging scenes with birds flying...

Re: Back button focusing

Once you get used to it you will not change back. BTW, this is not a global setting so if you use C1-C3 programmes, you have to set this in all programmes.

Re: What do you want Oly to release at Photokina?

What about pushing current flagship em1mk2 to his limits as they promised at launching...?

Firmware releases has been scarce and with pretty limited functionality, in particular, copy/paste Nikon...

Re: Moved from General Photography - 3rd party battery for EM1mkii

Apart from batteries, what I found really useful is a charger that uses an usb connector as power supply, so I can charge on the go anywhere, on the car, with a power pack, etc... very small and...

Re: Long Dilemma - please help

I had the same dilemma and did a test with Canon and metabones. Conclusion, the same expressed in a previous post, very slow so unusable for moving subjects.

At the end, I got the 40-150 pro and...

Re: Iona Fisher - first such attempt

I've taken pictures in similar circumstances, and is obviously not easy to take photos beyond 'usable ' pictures.

Some suggestions for next time:
- use higher ISO, I've got usable ones even at...

Re: Long Dilemma - please help

I was at the same dilemma between the Pana 100-400, the Oly 300f4 and the new Sigma 150-600 for Canon with metabones adapter.

What I did was to rent an adapter and a Canon 100-400 lens and test...

Re: Delay before I can take the next shot

What I said is valid for em1.MK2, otherwise 95MB/s cards is the max the camera accepts.

Have you tried with a Factory reset?

Re: Delay before I can take the next shot

I had a Sandisk 95mb/s theoretical speed before with em-5, no chance, with a 2K€ camera, spending 60€ in the card is not a big deal, and please, do not insert any card in the slot 2, it will slowdown...

Re: Bird in Flight Help

That's what I thought... but the fact is that the lens does the reset every time it goes to iddle status so every minute or so. It takes a second to refocus again and this is not good when doing BIF,...

Re: AF Fine Adjustment on E-M1 Mk II

After some BIF pictures using 75-300mk2 with a difficulty getting pin sharp results, I decided to calibrate the lens in the em1.2.

Two conclussions:
- the calibration System is quite good and...
