Re: Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH POWER O.I.S Lens

Quick bump, but to be honest won't be to worried if it doesn't sell as it takes great pics and I'll be happy to hold onto it for times when the weather is poor - always good to have a dust & splash...

Re: MIOPS Splash Kit

The thing about this sort of photography is that you not only can you get loads of pictures, but there is always an opportunity to 'add value' in post with some extremely simple manipulation! ...

Re: MIOPS Splash Kit

Sorry my bad - totally 'talking' at cross purposes :)

The software (App) is quite confusing and the downloadable manual seems to be for a previous version:confused:, so it's very trial and error...

Re: MIOPS Splash Kit

That's mainly due to the limited crop from that shot showing a wider area, but TBH none of the pictures are really sharp due to motion blur (except in the slower moving central areas) - just doesn't...

Re: MIOPS Splash Kit

I bought mine from the UK Distributor (https://www.ukhp.co/products/miops-splash-smartphone-controllable-water-drop-kit-mounting-holder-full-kit?variant=12705278230586) as their support has been very...

Re: MIOPS Splash Kit

Sorry, don't really understand the question, if about purchasing a flash, this is just idle musing.

MIOPS Splash Kit

I bought one of the above a few weeks ago and have been 'playing' with it when I have some spare time. I find it quite fussy to set-up and I generally end up continually tinkering with the drop...

Re: Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH POWER O.I.S Lens

Thanks for your interest. Yes micro four thirds lens, but I'm holding firm on the price for this one, especially as it's not been on sale that long.

Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH POWER O.I.S Lens

I've replaced this with the Lumix 14-140 as my every day lens, so this is now surplus to requirement, condition is great (which I hope you can see from the pictures below) and it certainly takes...

Re: My selection of lenses for everything?

I dismissed the Olympus 12-100 as my everyday lens as it was TBH just to hefty for what I wanted. I do however love the build, image quality and feel of the Olympus pro range, it's far superior to...

My selection of lenses for everything?

I was discussing my choice of lenses on another forum and the single consistent problem people have with my 'selection' is that there are no fast primes!

Now personally I've never really wanted...

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

Got any safari images? As this post seems to both be about the lenses and images taken, I'm happy to let this thread run to see how people are using both the Olympus 300 & 100-400 PanaL.

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

I elected to ignore possible repair issues, after all it hasn't proved to be an overly problematic lens. Accidental damage can be negated by home insurance cover (new for old). I might however have...

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

Been out and about with the 100-400 today & it is a pleasure to use, just my inability to find what I'm looking for in time to take the picture is quite frustrating (darn birds flitting around,...

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

No I've never had LR, in fact not really into doing that much 'post' work - I've got a very old version of Elements, but the only way there to 'de-mist' is to create a blank white layer, set it to...

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

My 14-140 has yet to arrive as Panasonic don't seem to have any stock at present, but they're being chased by the shop for a likely timescale.

As for the 100-400, these are through our rather...

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

It does settle down when taking pictures but there is still an ever present level of noise - though it has to be said I seem to be very sensitive to things like this.
These types of noise...

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

My Panasonic 100-400 arrived today but only had a quick play shooting some birds in the garden & on the bird feeders (through the patio doors). The zoom ring feels very nice from 100 to 300, then...

Re: Pen-F owners, tell me the truth.

I wasn't really enjoying using my M5 as I've grown to dislike the centred (DSLR'ish) EVF - been using rangefinder style cameras for so long now I really don't like my nose being pressed against the...
