Re: Gigrin

It's worth paying the extra for the photographers hides at Gigrin. I got my best photos later on after many people had left. There were fewer birds (which made it easier!) and the sun was lower, so I...

Re: Panasonic launch the G9 and 200mm f2.8 lens

It looks like it would probably fit, but the extra converter contacts are in a different position from the Olympus ones so the camera would probably not know it was fitted and so would not adjust...

Re: To protest or not to protest - that is the dilemma

I thought the discussion was about people being able to decide they didn't want that in their own areas and then being overruled by the government. The same government who were preaching "localism"...

Re: Larva of Elephant Hawk-moth Deilephila porcellus

Great shots Harold. I found two in our garden yesterday when I pulled some weeds out. I hadn't seen them, I just felt the texture wasn't a plant! They are 3 inch long monsters!

I decided to...

Re: AF not as accurate

I think you will have to do a focus test with your 50-200 and EC-14 and probably calibrate your AF. If you don't have any specific test gear, then just set the camera up on a tripod and and put 3...

Not quite. If you shoot Raw to Slot 1 and JPG to Slot 2 then the writing speed will be governed by the slower slot.

If you have 2 cards but write Raw and JPG to a UHS II card in slot 1 then...

Re: First BIF photos with EM1 MK 2

That's a great start, but for BIF I would recommend you try to use faster speeds. Three of them were taken at 1/500 sec. I would suggest you use a higher ISO than 200 and keep the lens at F4 and get...
