I use 'Keypass2' on my Linux laptop. It's very handy.

Re: Zoo Tiger

99% of B&W images I see posted simply don't work for me - and this is one of them!

I'm waiting to see rainbow and Nottinghill Carnival images in B&W, and am confident that they will come...

Re: How difficult can it be?

I doubt I would have been able to do that in my 20s! As soon as there is pressure to remember something - I can't. However, trivia seems to stick like flypaper to my brain!

Re: 4/3 35mm Macro lens purchase.

I've got an Oly EX25 extension tube, but never use it. Sods Law dictates that when you fit one, a once in a lifetime shot will appear - but outside the range of the lens+tube maximum focusing...

Re: 4/3 35mm Macro lens purchase.

I agree. The Zuiko 50mm F2.0 macro is a great lens, but is far more expensive.

Re: Basic negative scanner advice

As they're from a relative, they're likely to be historically important for your family, so it's worth spending some time and effort on them.

I did the same with lots of negs. my partner has. I...

Re: 4/3 35mm Macro lens purchase.

Re: Any audio/AV buffs able to help?

We're still on a 405 line B&W TV, with only BBC and an ITV addon box!

Re: Social media and mental health

We leave the television on when we go out to deter intruders. I usually change the channel to ITV or Channel 5, because it has the noisy game shows and adverts.

Re: Social media and mental health

Quite the opposite!

I think it shows respect to the family that people care enough about the tragedy to seriously discuss the issues that brought it about!

Re: 4/3 35mm Macro lens purchase.

The 35mm macro is a good macro lens. I've got one that I used until I bought the 50mm macro. The 50mm is the better lens, but a lot dearer. Some people say that for macro, the working distance of the...

Re: New 35mm 'film' SLR

Why stop with a film back? If you really want to go retro, why not have a Daguerreotype back option, or any number of other obsolete technologies?

;)

Take care with the British rail 'system' - you can get ripped off big time!

My partner's daughter came back from Sheffield recently. It should be a fairly direct journey, but by zigg zagging...

Re: What sort of word is that?"

Re: 150mm f/2 at LCE

I'm now using mine as the 'standard' lens on my E5, now that the 12-60 has developed a problem.

We sleep with the bedroom window wide open and often get robins and bluetits coming in. They quickly find their way out. Earlier this year we had a goldcrest 'visitor' but it kept flying up to the...

Very impressive 'OM USer'!

I've not heard of PhotoDirector 4 - I'm going to have to look it up.

Many thanks, Jim

Re: Trying to eliminate green cast in portrait.

It was particularly interesting that you used - and preferred - Olympus Viewer 3.

I have OV3, but never use it. (I even had to look up what 'OV3' meant!)

I do my PP with PS 4, but only really...
