I looked at the file when they first came out, using a hex/decimal editor and there is a couple of things at the start that can be “interpreted”, but it soon becomes just bulk data. No way of...

You can “export” the file from the SD card to a computer. However it’s not a file that you can read, like a text file. I have not yet discovered any applications...

I believe it is for an anti rotation pin that is a throw back to when big cameras were carried on tripods and they could come loose. Also to stop rotation on the tripod with rapid panning.

That’s such a good point. I have found that the “sweet spot” on a cheaper lens, will often produce an image every bit as good as that from the expensive lenses.
