Re: Durham Cathedral

Thanks Hew - and yes, the 8-18 is doing its job. I'm very impressed with it. The best UWA I've used in m43.

Re: Ready made setting for Olympus OM-D EM-5 Mark II

There was talk in the early days of the Pen-F that Olympus would create a sort of "marketplace" for the "creative" (JPEG) settings so that users could share them. I think that with firmware 3.0 (due...

Re: Pen-F Mono mode - a little game!

So, here are the LR settings - it's a LR profile:

You'll need to right click and download it, then copy it to your Develop Presets folder. On...

Re: "Unobvious Things about Olympus E-M1 II"

Well, maybe I've studied the menus too much, or used the camera too much - but I found the contents of the video pretty rudimentary. Using the IBIS to reduce your ISO? - sounds pretty obvious to me...

Re: Fujifilm X-H1

That non Bayer array is a right PITA. It's one of the many reasons why I'm not in any hurry to use Fuji gear.

Re: Pen-F Mono mode - a little game!

I'll dig out the settings and post them up. I can make an LR profile too that you can just copy - will save you moving all those sliders around!

Re: Pen-F Mono mode - a little game!

Take home message for me is two fold:

- The view that the Pen-F mono mode 2 ("Tri-X") is "unique" and impossible to reproduce is just false.

- If you shoot raw, you will have so much more...

Re: Suggestions for improvements

Number 2 has potential with PP. Number 1 is way too cluttered though and the lighting is all wrong. It's a nice scene though so my recommendation would be to go back and re-shoot it. Really, I'd...

Re: Instagram - Is it just me? Am I missing something?
