It uses DNG RAW. The files do need a lot of work as there isn't a lot of model-specific optimisation by default.

To a point, I'd agree, but the quality I can get from the Huawei P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro is seriously impressive. I'd say it requires more post-processing and of course a 'real' system camera handles...
