Re: Who altered my advert then?

I did correct some spelling in the 'Interested' option

Re: Sad news about my favouriote airliner

I believe that A380s can operate out of any airport with a suitable runway and apron area but for regular service, you'd need a two-storey loading arrangement and roomy gate area.

E-M1X thoughts and excellent Dave Etchells video

When word first started filtering through about the E-M1X I admit I got a bit distracted by the fixed grip design. I decided some time ago that I, personally, didn't need a battery grip any more. So...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

To a point, I'd agree, but the quality I can get from the Huawei P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro is seriously impressive. I'd say it requires more post-processing and of course a 'real' system camera handles...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

While an improved sensor would always be welcomed, it's now quite low on my list of priorities.

As I think I mentioned - I visited the exhibition of the 2018 Wildlife Photographer of the Year...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

I know there is a lot of talk about hand-held hires, but does anyone think the current resolution expansion mode actually works hand-held, particularly if there is any movement in the subject?

I...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

There was a permissions problem - if you were already registered on the FTU forum, like Ross and Barrie, there was no problem.

I think I have fixed this now but for some reason, the top image in...

Re: Autumn colours - North

Julia's aunt is now at peace. She was a lovely eccentric lady; very kind and generous and she kept in touch with everyone. She was the glue that bound the families together. She couldn't take a photo...

I suggested to John that he try to find buyers here on the forum first - I can certainly vouch for him.

Re: Any iPad 2 users out there?

I haven't used my iPad Mini 2 Retina in months - must charge it up (which will take until tomorrow!) The Huawei Mate 20 Pro phone I have at the moment has a huge 4200mAH battery but it charges from...

Re: OM-1 miniatures!

I have emailed those who emailed me in the last couple of months expressing interest in the extra miniatures.

That's only a handful of people (half a dozen at most).

I will provide full details...

Re: Four Thirds User - currently being operated on!

Some good news - the forum at FTU (https://fourthirds-user.com/forum) is now back up and as you will see it's all-new.

Basically it's still a work in progress and there may well be interruptions...

Of course Micro Four Thirds is not dead.

However there was a reference in the link to mobile phones now being equivalent to compact cameras and I believe that is pretty much true. I have been...

Re: Bracketing advice.

That's not exposure bracketing :)

The method you describe will work to a degree but it will probably result in more noise and less headroom adjustment. On the other hand, there's no misalignment...

Re: Hdew em-1 999

HDEW are grey importers but they are a UK company and hold stock in the UK and if you are VAT registered you get to claim the VAT back.
