Re: ISO 3200 from Kodak

Pushing HP5 or Tri-X results in high contrast, and depending on exposure point blocked out shadows. Works great if you want to recreate a Ralph Gibson look (he exposed for the highlights).

Re: EM1MK11 low price

Re: Pictures: Do you have one that got away?

I had a brilliant shot in the making yesterday, a 12lb salmon if ever I saw one. Just as I pressed the shutter I discovered I hadn't advanced the film. By the time I cocked the amazing scene had...

Re: ISO 3200 from Kodak

Apparently Delta 3200 is best shot at an EI of 1600 and developed for box speed. As you say it's never been away.

It will be interesting to see the cash point (god I've realised I'm becomming...

Re: ISO 3200 from Kodak

If you repeat this error it'll be 1000 lines and detention!...

Re: Discussions on improvements

Looks ok to me. However I'm viewing it on an iPad, so it maybe the device that's making it look very digital to me. Just a suggestion, it might be worth shooting some emulsion to tune your eye into...

Re: Pictures: Do you have one that got away?

Re: A Debenhams conundrum

Debenhams like a lot of department stores don't have door handles to negotiate, unless you need a trap.

Some of that was probably shot in the 80's.

Re: What's wrong with these pictures?

Not a fan of monochrome with isolated colour (Iím sure thereís a better term). Having the master file you can easily experiment, what about adding contrast, incorporate an S?

Re: What's wrong with these pictures?

You have heard of Henri Cartier-Bresson, good. What about reading his many published books? Assuming you have read (well at least looked at the images) you will know he wasnít much into landscapes,...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

The title is referring to the characters Captain Mainwaring and Private James Frazer.

'Mannering' is of course how we pronounce 'Mainwaring'.

Re: Oops. I bought a Nikon paperweight

The marriage to a 'regular' poly lens would be brief, for sure.

Might come in handy as a reading glass, or for playing pranks on friend, sun, lens -> holes in clothing = detention + 1000 lines, '...
