Affinity Photo is a good alternative to Photoshop.

ON1 Photo Raw, Luminar 3, Alien Skin Exposure, or Capture One are closer to Lightroom...

The Lee Olympus 7-14 Adapter has vignetting problems when you tilt the filter, Lee confirm this on their web site.

The Phil Norton Adapter does not have the vignetting problem, see this web page...

Valid point about scale. Each white vein was about an inch to inch and half wide in old money (2.5 cm- 3.75 cm). So the whole photo below must be about 9 inches high.

Region is south west Portugal on the coast. I guess it is a hard mineral else the sea would have washed it way. Quartz sounds best bet.

Focus stacking is fixed at 8 shots so I varied aperture from f3.5 to f5.6 depending on the size of the fungi and used a narrow focus differential 3-4 increasing it a bit at higher f stops.
