There is an interesting thread on DPReview at the moment, entitled 'Latest E-M1X tidbits (MAJOR, if true).' I have no idea whether it is true or not but, if it is, Olympus might have wrong footed...

An Optimistic Article about Olympus

I found this article via a thread on DPReview. It makes change to read an encouraging article about the future of Olympus and M43. Straight from the horse's mouth (almost).

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Thanks Mark but I think that the story it tells is that I should trust my gut reaction before posting second rate shots. :)

I like your shots of all those Godwits.

Re: Lens Fungus

In my house anything leather is a potential disaster area and seems to attract mould. I have a pair of Zeiss Jenoptem binoculars in a beautiful leather case which were stored in a drawer....

Common Snipe in Reeds

Some shots of two Common Snipe feeding amongst the reeds at Strumpshaw Fen. They were so well camouflaged that I had been there for about five minutes before I spotted them right in front of me. They...

Re: Oly 12-100 IS switch.

On my 300mm f4, if I turn the lens stabilisation switch off it changes the info on the SCP to 'S-IS Off'. The image in the viewfinder is also noticeably a lot less stable.

That is quite a puddle! The Lake District living up to its reputation as being rather damp and very beautiful. Two super shots Alf.

Wheatear. The name is said to come from the traditional name 'White a***', referring to the white rump. They are migrants on passage.
