July Photo Challenge - Street Life

The July theme is Street Life Ė Whatís happening in your local town or village? Or maybe you fancy a trip to a big city? Whatever the location, itís the people that count.

To enter simply post your picture in this thread between now and Monday 31st July. There will then be a two week voting period during which all members (not just those who have entered the competition) will be encouraged to vote for their favourite by using the 'Like' button. 1st, 2nd & 3rd places will be allocated and these will ultimately count towards the title of E-System User Photographer of the Year. However, do bear in mind that each monthly round is a separate competition in its own right and you can enter as many or as few rounds as you wish.

PLEASE DO NOT VOTE (USE THE 'LIKE' BUTTON) BEFORE THE COMPETITION HAS ENDED AND THE VOTING PERIOD BEGUN ON 31st JULY.

We'll try to keep the rules simple, but we must have a few:-

1) Enter one picture only

2) All entries must have been taken on an Olympus E-System body (Four Thirds or Micro Four Thirds), a non-Olympus body but using an Olympus Zuiko E-System lens or an Olympus digital compact such as the XZ-1.

3) One vote per member, please. You do not need to enter the completion in order to vote.

4) If you vote for more than one picture your votes won't count.

5) You can change your mind at any time during the voting period simply by removing your original like before allocating it to your new choice.

I think I have covered everything but please do let me know if I have missed anything.

Now, let's see lots of entries and good luck to all those who participate!

Hi John,

I can't advise on posting from Flickr, having never done it, but you might like to see the two video tutorials on uploading pictures to the forum gallery and inserting pictures in the gallery into forum posts. There are links to these on the far right of the Home Page (you might need to scroll across if your monitor doesn't display the whole page). Hope this helps. :)

Probably not the place to discuss, but importing from Flickr is just a matter of copying and pasting the BB code.

John, your first few attempts at posting ( now deleted ) had a small thumbnail icon which if you right clicked and selected " open in a new tab" the image appeared. The forum has just had extensive work done to install a new server so maybe somebody else could try a post from Flickr to see if it works ?

John

John has almost certainly shared the thumbnail and not the full size photo. It's not to do with the changes and is easily fixed if can edit the post.

John

Actually, now I've looked I can't see any photos from John in the gallery, so I am barking up the wrong tree!

Here's a Flickr shot of mine for testing purposes - and it's on topic :)
