Older Olympus lenses

I have recently bought a 50mm f1.8 OM lens for 20-00 it's in pristine condition, and I've taken a few shots with it, the results are very good, for 20-00 I don't think I could have bought a Digital lens, and it does force me to use manual mode so it stretches your mind a bit more.......
and I have just bought a cracking 200mm f4 Om lens in prime condition for 30, and I'll be trying this out as well.

Yes I would like a 70-300, or a 50-200 digital lens, but when your pockets are shallow as mine are at the moment, the OM lenses give you a chance to experiment at a fraction of the cost.

I agree Peter, you don't have to break the bank to enjoy your hobby. Can I also recommend the 28mm, I have one of theses its a fantastic little lens

I use the 50 1.8, 28 2.8 and 100 2.8 on my e-pl1, all 3 are fantastic lenses, quite able to give my more modern and expensive lenses a run for the money.

Try a Rokkor 45mm, it'll really open your eyes!

Re: Older Olympus lenses

Just picked up my 200mm lens, and the guy was selling a 28mm!! so grabbed another bargain for under 20......and from what i've seen of the shots i've taken it is indeed a cracking lens.. one happy bunny at the mo, all I need now is a lotto win (well a few grand wouldn't go amiss) then it would be one or two new digital lenses as well. Off today out with the dog camera firmly in hand.....

Some of those old OM lenses have very high contrast.

I use the 300mm f4.5 and the 24mm f2.8 on my EPL5. But then, I am so old that I have only just stopped using my Trip 35. And the Minox 35GT.
