M2 for dummies

`Dummies` is probably unfair! Just a shout out for the excellent book `The Olympus E-M1 Mark 11 Menu System Simplified` by David Thorpe. Bought for me as a birthday present last week. Shorter than the online manual and far easier to understand. Beauty is you can dip in or out by chapter heading and does a really good job of clarifying the complexities of the menu system. Ideal for an old, ex-Pentaxian like me. My copy was purchased via Amazon at under 10.

Well yes but.........

One of the very few downdsides to the camera in my opinion was not having a full paper manual so this is a good substitute. Am a book man and do not have a Kindle!

And if you want to have the reference whilst "in the field", there's a kindle app for phones, allowing you to research that obscure menu item whilst out on location.

Keeping the manual as a pdf on one's phone (and also now this booklet) is recommended, especially as you don't need to carry another device, and the phone doesn't get bigger and heavier with every book one adds...
