Bempton Memories

A trio of images taken off of and at Bempton Cliffs in June of this year, it really is a wonderful place.

Marvellous captures Dave. I agree it is a super place to catch seabirds.

Thanks Phil.

The Puffin was taken with the 300mm f4, the Gannets were taken with the 40-150mm Pro, at 40mm if I recall correctly.

Thanks Ed.

I don't recall the type of fish however, I understand that they're a catch that isn't sold for human consumption.

The Gannets were keen on them though.

Very impressive. Puffin in flight is spectacular!

We were in a small boat taking part in a Gannet diving trip, this was organised by Steve Race of Yorkshire Coast Nature.

At times the birds were only a few feet away, it was an amazing experience and one I'd recommend.

Thanks Paul, Puffins are incredible little birds but a tad difficult to catch in flight.

Ah that's how you got so close, I thought it might be something like that. I'm the worlds worst sailor so don't think that's a trip for me unfortunately. I'll just have to get a longer lens :D
