Alternative Lenses for E30 + E510

A little poser for the more experienced of you out there.
As you may know I have an E30 + E510 and am in the processing of changing lenses - I now have the 11-22,12-6,50-200 all 2.8 + the other kit lenses 14-42.40-150,70-300

My question is what other manufactures lens can I use on the above cameras - ideally I would like to get appertures down in the low 1.0's eg. 1.4 or 1.8

Any ideas and more importantly what additional adaptors would I need

Thanks in advance

Sigma used to do f/1.4s at 30mm and 50mm in four thirds mount, I don't know whether they still do. No adapter required, there seem to be varying reports of quality.

There are loads of lenses from film days around, most - but definitely not all - will work in totally manual mode on the E-series with a suitable adapter. A good source for adapters is SRB-Griturn at http://www.srb-griturn.com/ . They are a helpful and friendly bunch and properly independent as far as I know. If it can be done, they probably have an adapter for it.

Good luck ... John

Limited with 4/3rds but plenty of fast manual 'analogue' lenses around to play with. Relatively inexpensive too.

There's also the manual focus f/1.4 Samyang lenses in 4/3 mount. My 90mm Tamron macro only gets used for macro since getting the 85mm Samyang. Now I'm waiting to find a deal on the 35mm f/1.4 Samyang.
I've also got a dozen OM primes from my film shooting years.

Expensive, but don't forget the Panasonic/Leica 25mm F1.4 in native 4/3s mount
e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic-...item589e2a502a though this one's in Japan

You need the Panasonic LUMIX LEICA D SUMMILUX 25mm f/1.4 version not the cheaper DG variant which is for Micro FT

Thanks guys for your responses. I was hoping not to go down the legacy lens route, but I will def have a look at the Pano lens.

The Sigma 30 and 50 are proper fully-functional 4/3 lenses, Benedict.

Ciao ... John

Yes I know thanks - the 50mm f1.4 is like finding hens teeth.
