Norfolk groynes

Took this the other morning. I know there is a fashion for this, but what do you all think of it?

I rather like that Dave. A simple and graphic style image. Those groynes look in better condition than many here. Where were they?

Ron, they are on the beach at potters resort in Hopton, here https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/...719bce1d1314db

Thanks Dave. That's a bit embarrassing. I live in Hopton but I can't remember the last time I visited the beach. :o

Super shot, I agree maybe just crop the dark clouds at the top?

Re: Norfolk groynes

Thanks again guys.
Ron, the beach is private but there must be others that are accesable to the public.
Ed and Spooner, the original did have a clear sky, I darkened it in LR.
Will look at it again.

So clean and simple Dave, excellent shot. I'd go for a crop of the darker clouds too though. I'd have spent ages trying to get both rows of posts evenly spaced as they ran into the sea but I think your slight angle gives a much more interesting shot. I'll definitely remember that in the future.

Thanks Phil.
I agree, the clouds are a distraction.

Excellent shot-cropping the clouds will improve it.

Super image Dave, good tones & use of a big stopper

Re: Norfolk groynes

Great shot, Dave - I agree that the darker clouds perhaps should be cropped.

It's definitely one to frame.

Cheers,

tenzan

Re: Norfolk groynes

Thanks guys.
Here is a better one. I put it into a club comp and the judge said that the basket should be either above or below the water line, and the groynes should be even, iI should have taken it from dead centre. Agree with that but not sure about position of basket.
