Yahoo email users

If you use a Yahoo email account, I have discovered that there is a good chance emails from us will be blocked.

I am looking into how this can be fixed, but in the mean time I do know that we have no such problem with GMail so that is a quick option if you think it would be helpful.

Thanks,

Ian

I gave up on Yahoo email long ago because it seemed to block emails from all sorts of reputable senders.

Regards.

Re: Yahoo email users

I might have a work-around. I discovered that if I send an email to the forum admin email account and then reply to it, the reply and subsequent emails from the forum are no longer blocked.

I'm just going to find out if that means I've unblocked everyone (very unlikely but who knows?!) but if necessary we can repeat the procedure for any member who would like to try it.

I've removed your email address as it's not wise to expose it for all to see on the forum :)

I had already tested my own outlook.com account and had no problems - have you checked your spam folder?

I am one of the Yahoo users who reported the problem to Ian. I am not sure what Ian has done but the last few mails having been coming through as usual, including an "automatic" one telling me about the PM that Ian had sent. So I think it's looking good now.

I don't really "use" yahoo for email, I just have an account set up for subscriptions to forums and so on. I have not been aware of problems with mails being blocked, all the stuff I would expect comes through OK normally.

As I reported on the other thread (before I saw this), since I am also on yahoo, I didn't get the broadcast message & a couple of other email notifications within the last 5 or so hours, but others I did.

EDIT: These were the two threads I didn't get an email notification of a reply.

Ye of little faith! It's only ten to midnight here :D

I am wondering if the Yahoo mail problem has been solved as a couple of people have reported they have now started to receive emails from the forum to their Yahoo mailboxes.

Ian, just letting you know I have now received all the emails now, like they were delayed. I'll recheck my settings again, just in case.
Thanks, Ross.
