Discussion of the "For Sale" section

Zukio 7-14 mm F4. Excellent Condition. 750
Zukio 150. F2. Excellent Condition. 1350
Zukio 11-22 F2.8-3.5. Excellent Condition 550
Zukio 50-200 ED F2.8-3.5 Excellent Condition. 550
Zukio 14-54 F2.8- 3.5 Excellent condition. 375

Little used kit.

Or buy the lot with various bags, hoods filters etc for 3175.

This post seems to have re-opened an old debate and the following replies were nothing to do with the purpose of the thread, for the Opening Poster to sell some lenses. I have therefore duplicated the thread here, for those who wish to continue the debate and edited the original thread in the For Sale section so that it may serve its proper purpose.

I'm happy if a newcomer comes along and offers sell me their very reasonably priced kit.

This has been argued before, but there could be someone amongst us after a lens who's grateful for the appearance of a newbie with just that item at a great price.

Not everyone wants to share their enthusiasm online perhaps?

:)

Now, now, Dave, we've had this discussion before. :D The OP is not breeching any rules, might just have discovered us and may be in the process of selling his FT kit to finance a MFT purchase (I assume it's a "he" with a name like Buggerlugs :D). Then again, he might not - but that hardly matters.

It would, of course, have been friendly and polite for Buggerlugs to say hello and briefly introduce himself. :)

With your track record, David, you're likely to buy the lot! *laugh

Now perhaps we should treat this like any other For Sale thread, reply only if we are interested in buying or ignore if we're not. :)

Sure, we've had this conversation before.

That does not mean the OP appears any less irritating or dodgy.
Just because the forum rules allow things we wouldn't do ourselves out of respect for our fellow forumites and general internet etiquette.
We don't have to be happy with bad manners and we shouldn't be censored for standing up against them!
Adherence to rules are not the only measure of behaviour.

Re: Zukio Lenses for Sale.

After having my Olympus cameras stolen and getting stiffed by the insurance company, I decided to sell of the remaining kit and where better to start than with Olympus E system enthusiasts. I would have happily paid to place an ad, but there was no option.

I'm just passing through. Dave, if you want to join a secret society join the Masons!

Buggerlugs

Bugger, out of interest will you be buying more Oly kit with the proceeds. MFT perhaps?

John... yes, I've never denied I buy and sell a bit of kit now and again but I have stuck around and contributed here. But you know that already and I appreciate the humour. ;)

Dave, I really don't see that there is a problem with this. A poster like this will either make another member on the forum happy with a purchase or not. On top of this, there might be a chance that the seller finds the site interesting and starts to join in. If not, what harm has been done?

So let's not go round the houses again. If someone wants to use the forum to sell their gear and nothing else, so be it.

Yeah and it doesn't look like a scam just because the OP can't spell Zuiko.

Sorry Guys, no it's not a scam, I'm just dyslexic!

A few pics posted on here would have been nice!

I just think that he could have introduced himself, explained how things were rather than just dive in with an advert.
It just seemed rather cold to me. And to others I guess.
Rant over.

Re: Zukio Lenses for Sale.

I agree with Dave...I wouldn't dive in and purchase something from someone who wasn't known to me, with a first post on the forum being an item for sale. Just being cautious, but seriously tempted by one of those lenses!

Janet
