14-42 EZ lens (Silver or Black)

[EDIT - Camera now found, now looking for 14-42 pancake to go with it!]

Hi all,

Firstly and with apologies I must confess to not being a regular user. I could make excuses pertaining to work and study, but that isn't very relevant.

However the time has come to upgrade from my trusty e510 purchased from this very forum nearly 7 years ago to the month. I'm getting married and going on honeymoon at the end of the month and feel that warrants some slightly more modern equipment!

I would like an EVF and articulated screen, so by my research that means the Pen F or E-M5 II. Budget is variable (it will be a "present" from family) depending on the model and any included lenses. If anyone has anything meeting that description which is surplus to requirement I'd be most interested!

Best,
Sim

I see SRS Microsystems have got an 'open box' Pen-F for sale at 749 at the moment. More expensive that most used ones at the moment, but at least it comes with warranty and it's a worthwhile reduction from the new price.

Congratulations Sim.

Pen F is more compact, Em5 is probably the better camera if you want versatility.

I don't own either I have to say...............*chr

Thanks!

Yup a blog described it as head v heart which seems very accurate. I think the Pen is marginally preferable because it seems like it might feel more "special" rather than a tool!

I recently bought my E-M10 Mkii from Camera Jungle.
Has a warranty and was very reasonably priced if you don't get an offer here.

Don't seem to have any E-M5 Mkii for sale at the moment.

Re: Pen F or E-M5 II

Thanks all for your replies and info

I pulled the trigger on this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Olympus-P...72.m2749.l2649 - at 899 with a warranty and supposedly in "mint" condition I suppose it's essentially just a decent discount on the RRP. There is one left in silver and a couple black if anyone else is looking!

I now want to add a pancake zoom for everyday carrying, so if anyone has a 14-42 EZ they would like to pass on, please do let me know
(also considering a 40-150, opinions on whether it's worth bothering for one day of potential elephant spotting gladly canvassed!)

Hope its ok to post links here.
But that looks like a killer price for a Em5 Mk2

Of course, though not sure anyone will find it now I've changed the title - I did see that offer (they are also doing it with the 18-180 for 779 which seems excellent as well), but by that time I'd got my heart set on the Pen F!

Bristol Cameras have what I assume is stock split from a kit at 189.
