90-250mm lens SRS description lol

Have to laugh at this description of the 90-250 f2 Zuiko lens from SRS

"This top-class professional telephoto lens with a fixed aperture over the whole zoom range is compact, lightweight for high portability and Splash-proof."

Yeah right, "top class, fixed aperture and splash proof" for sure but who are they kidding about the rest "lightweight for high portability" lol, it weighs 3.2 Kgs!!!

Well it's 20gms lighter than the 300mm.

And it's 630gms lighter than my legacy OM 350mm.

And it's less than half the weight of the manual focus 300mm f2:D Nikkor which weighs 7.5kgs.

Something tells me you don't carry both the 300mm f/2 Nikon and the 350mm f/2.8 Zuiko at the same time :)

I saw a 300mm f/2 Nikon in Grays of Westminster once, what an awesome beast of a lens *yes

Cheers,

Here's some video I shot at PMA almost 3 years ago (the video is rather poor quality!):

Now that's what I call a lens :D

Hmm so 4/3 doesn't have a size advantage!!!

That Sigma is the full frame equivalent to the 90-250 so perhaps SRS were right 'compact, lightweight for high portability'

And at around 4500 for the 90-250 and 15500 for the sigma 200-500, oly is much cheaper.
