Apart from HP standing for Hewlett_Packard, I am at a loss to know what it means.

The LCD and Top plate on my E-30 show the letters HP next to the battery symbol when I press the (...) target button and ALL is displayed. It goes when any of the alternative target functions are selected.

It's probably been there all the time but I've only just noticed it.

Any suggestions folks?

Hi Terry

It stands for 'Home Position' and is used when all points auto-focus is used. You can determine a home position for the focus points - I am sure I have seen it in the manual somewhere.

Many thanks for the info John, I've now found it on p.57. of the manual

Don't know how I missed it? Maybe it's where I am well overdue for a visit to the optician?
