My patience has been rewarded with a phone call from Jacobs. This is my first venture, I must admit to being mightily impressed as these were taken without a tripod at dawn with the temperature below freezing.http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/data/521/thumbs/Swans_at_Ashleworth.jpg (http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2638)http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/data/521/thumbs/Dawn_near_Hasfield.jpg (http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2636)http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/data/521/thumbs/Dawn_between_Hasfield_and_Ashleworth_.jpg (http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2635)http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/data/521/thumbs/February_Dawn.jpg (http://e-group.uk.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2637)

Wow, they're nice.

I've only had my 70-300 for a few days and already know we're going to spend many happy hours together - looks like you'll be the same.

I particularly like the last one with the sun, it looks like one of those 'classic' pictures taken somewhere exotic.

It's a magical time of day, something very different about the light when compared with the evening.

They are lovely. You must be pleased with these as a first outing.

I am warming to this lens. I was worried it might be lacking in sharpness on some posts but yours and music-mans posts are knockout.

Look forward to some more.
