Hi

I'm looking for a cheap flash solution and wondered if anyone had any experience of the Metz 36 (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-metz-36-af-4-olympus-panasonic-fit-flashgun/p1031113) or similar used with ishoot wireless triggers.
If it works it should give me a much more affordable solution than the Metz 48 or Olympus FL-36R.
My main uses will be for Macro work and general shooting indoors.

Cheers

Jon

I use a Nikon SB28 with an Ishoot trigger and it seems to work just fine. Clearly you are not going to get TTL flash, but I get by quite well setting the flash to its own Auto mode or to manual.

Either way you need to match the camera lens aperture to the aperture selected or calculated on the flash.

Save some more money and buy a good but cheap flash on ebay - I picked up a Vivitar 550FD for either 0.99 or 4.99 I can't remember. If it does manual and auto then it doesn't matter what camera it was originally designed for :-)
