Can anyone please advise whether the Cokin P series filter system can be used at the wide end of the ZD 12-60 zoom? I can't really justify a more expensive system for the usage I will give it.

Does anyone have experience of the P series system on this lens please?

Not got the 12-60, but do have the 11-22. For the 11-22 I use the thinner wide angle holder, I would suspect you would need to do the same.

The limitation is that you can not 'stack' multiple filters, which you can do with the standard P series holder.

I carry two P holders, a standard and another I cut the outer two filter holding slots off.

Having said that I can't remember the last time I used them. I was a habitual ND grad user in my film shooting days, nowadays they're in my bag just in case but I never use them.

Edit. I used the cut down holder with my 17mm on a 35mm film camera so the wide end of the 12-60 shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks everyone. Looks like it will be ok with the wide angle holder.

I'm now looking for the best source.

yes it's fine Dave - I get a little vignette with the polarizer in place but the standard filters seem fine on that lens at that setting.

I do find it usefull
