Dear all,

I wonder if anyone knows UK suppliers of Arca-Swiss compatible QR plates for the Zuiko 150 f2 and 50-200? Bob Rigby can supply some rather expensive (47) generic plates, but ideally I'd like to have plates that either are made for these lenses or at least have been found to work well in real-life use.

These are for use with a Markins Q3 ballhead (which I brought back from the US a couple of months ago, and is wonderful! http://www.markinsamerica.com/MA5/Q3.php ). I'm not planning another US trip until May, and shipping/duty on purchases from there is expensive.

Many thanks.

You could try e-mailing 4th Generation Designs to see if they have a UK distributor;

Another option is the Acratech 2 1/2" lens plate which is what I use for the 50-200 so you could check for a UK distributor for that.

Thanks, but Bob Rigby is Actatech distributor in the UK and they only supply Wimberley plates.

I'm waiting to hear back from 4th Gen to see if there are any UK distributors of lens-specific designs at an acceptable price: otherwise I'll just have to decide between expensive general plates now, or a wider choice of plates & prices when I next go to the US in May '10.

Decisions, decisions...
