We are both looking to replace our point and shoots - especially mine Fuji E900 due to its age and weight rather heavy in my map pocket. Plus I have funds left over from Christmas and wish to spend them on something sensible.
I am looking at the slim and light offerings and today looked at the Olympus drop and splash models - not really for me. The Ricoh R7 seemed pretty good but felt that now we are Olympus people I should show my allegiance to the company.
This camera was one of five I think announced at PMA earlier this week so research is down to the specifications in the press release and found on the company website.

What do you a) think b) use 3) recommend
I'd be most pleased for your comments etc.
