Can someone tell me the basic differences between the e600 and e620?
Thanks

Hi Jamie

As far as I know the there are 3 basic differences

1 - no illuminated buttons
2 - no multi exposure mode
3 - less art filters

Non of them are going to stop it taking good pics - sensor, AF, viewfinder etc are all the same

Cheers

Plus:

- no alternative frame aspect ratio options
- no multiple-exposure function
- no facility to shoot via remote control

For a bit of commentary on that.

I can't find the e600 on the Olympus website and the data on the Currys/PCWorld website is not clear. When you say no facility for remote control do you mean that it has no connector socket for a remote control? It appears to have an IR window looking at the photographs on Currys website so am I right in assuming it would still work with the RM1?

I just picked up the E-600 with Kit lens for 319.99 from currys.
Dixons and Currys are showing the kit for 329.99 online and when i went to pick mine up from the store they gave me another 10 off!
I have to say that this is one hell of a bargain!

Is the E-600 an American import as it is not listed on Olympus UK site but it is listed on Olympus USA and selling for a lot more than the E-620.

It's a slightly cut down version of the E-620 only sold in the UK by the DSG group (Currys/Dixons/PCWorld)

The Olympus America price for the E-600 includes both kits lenses. I'm not sure if it's sold as body only or with just the 14-42 kit lens.

I don't think any retail group in Canada is selling the E-600. Given the reputation of the Canadian Olympus distributor maybe that's not surprising.
