I'd heard of the idea but not seen it in action. I wonder if it really works - and why he needs one with a camera that has IS lenses ;)

It's a pretty old trick.

I used to have a 'Focal Press' book published in the 1950's (?) which had a similar idea called a Chainpod - using bathplug chain!

An old idea but a good one.

Surely you could use this with a spirit level for panoramas? Combining the two ideas...
