I have the oppertunity of going to the Enchanted Forest Lighting event in Perthshire tonight.I will be taking e-620 fl36 14-54 2.8 what would you suggest is best way to shoot in dark forest with back lit events through trees using floods and lasers.All help appreciated

but your particular circumstances are closer to a fireworks setting than night time shooting from what I can understand of the circumstances.

do not rule out the really clever trick you have up your sleeve for exposure - live view! making sure that LV boost is off just put the camera on a tripod and in M mode, probably wide open and ISO 400 to start and adjust the shutter speed until what you see is what you want.

Cheers for that I dont usually use live view looks like tonight will be a first.

I'm only suggesting using it to resolve the exposure, then you need to resolve shutter speeds for the moving lights.....then shoot!

If this is the first time using long exposure, please do a Pixel Mapping after a few long exposures.
