Just seen the 12-60 on sale at Currys Digital in Newcastle upon Tyne for 550. If I only had the money to spare!

Just picked up this lens todat at my local Currys Digital for 550. Being completely new to Olympus this seems to be an absolute bargain?

There are three left at the branch in the strand. Also one 300-600 at 249, a cheapy 14-42 and the new e600 for 549.

he is, I believe, referring to the 70-300 wiith it's blue 600 label!

That store still had 7 35mm macro's at 99 last week too - and is the distribution store for Curry's when they do refurbs, so it gets a fair bit of old new stock (if you see what I mean!).

Quite correct watson - you worked out my cryptic clues like an expert *chr- thought i might have put you off the scent as i fancy that one.

None of the ones instock are sold as refurbs and the boxed version they took out to show me looked pristine and no marks on the mount, which can sometimes be the giveaway.

sorry if I mislead - I meant store refurbs not lens ones! They are going through a process of refurbishing all their stores and when they do they take away all 'not current stock items' - and shift it back out to a very limited number of their outlets. Strand gets the camera bits (apparently).

I was not trying to imply any of their ZD gear was a refurb!!!
