The theme for the current e-group challenge is - Dirty

As per previous months, this is another reasonably open theme and allows you to be very imaginative and creative in your submission. It could be anything from a dirty person to a dirty dog, from dust on the road to dirt in your garden... quite a wide remit I feel. The only thing I ask, please, is for us to keep on the clean side of dirty eh! :) Raunchy is totally fine... but beyond this I'll use my 'challenge organiser discretion' to moderate the entries. :)

Quick check list: Up to 800 pixels wide or high. Up to 512Kbytes. EXIF intact please. Taken by yourself on an E-series camera between Sunday 26th July 2009 through Friday 15th August 2009 inclusive. Please include your name, your forum moniker and a title for the picture.

However, these are the rules in full;

1. Photos should be taken (dated in EXIF) between - Sunday 26th July 2009 - and Friday 14th August 2009 inclusive (almost 3 weeks) and sent in during that period. Photos will be posted in the gallery on Saturday 15th August 2009 and we will vote in the next two weeks after this, voting will be completed by midnight Friday 28th August. I will announce the winner on Saturday 29th August.

2. You must be the photographer who created the picture in order to enter the challenge, and all entries must be visibly anonymous and should be sent to the challenge organiser. You must indicate (a) your real name, (b) your e-group forum name and (c) a title for your photo, in the email. Any entries that are not clearly identifiable and verifiable won't be entered into the challenge.

3. Entries to the challenge :-

Should contain no watermarks, distinguishing effects and no borders
Must be jpg format and no more than 800 px on the longest edge
Must have been taken on an Olympus E-Series camera
Must have all EXIF data included for the organiser to verify.
Max file size to suit the gallery here is 512kb.

4. You need to be registered on e-group.uk.net forums to qualify for entry into the challenge. The organiser may also enter the challenge (the entries are anonymous and the organiser is trusted to record votes accurately).

5. Only one entry permitted per challenge please. But if you want to withdraw an entry or replace it with another that's OK, you must make it clear in an email to the challenge organiser before the closing date, also ensure the email contains clear instructions and (if required) your replacement picture.

6. Voting on the challenge:-

Any registered member of the e-group forum may vote, including those who submit entries.
Those who submit entries may vote for their own photo but are expected to allot their choices fairly on perceived merit.
Voters should list their three choices in order of preference, by display number and title to avoid confusion.
Points will be allotted as follows: three to first choice, two to second choice, one to third choice.

You can PM me with your image attached. Otherwise you can email me with the image attached - themusicman@gmail.com - however please include the words Olympus Challenge in the title line so I can sort the pictures from the spam :-)

Now its over to you, folks... happy 'dirty' clicking *chr

Sorry to be dense but I have not discovered how to attach a file to a PM

A clue would be most welcome.

Hiya - the best way to do this is to host your image somewhere, then add it as a linked image in the PM - in the same way you would post an image in a thread.

Best thing to do though if you're not sure is to send me the image in an email.

Many thanks to all those who have submitted their entries... some excellent imaginative ideas have been entered so far.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 14th August so come on... as of today you only have 6 days remaining to take your shot and get it submitted. I'd absolutely love to see a double figure entry list for this months challenge... we're close... :)

Help us make this challenge another good one, ta.

I will try to pull something out for at least adding to the numbers of entries :)

Until then... here is some contained dirt:

OK, last reminder for the 'Dirty' challenge as midnight tonight is the closing time for this months event, so it's your last chance to get an entry submitted.

Should I expect a last minute rush of entries...? Come on folks... have a go at the last chance saloon!

WOW, we've had an influx of last minute entries, which is great. You've only got just over 2 hours to get yout image in if you are still considering it... go on... have a go...

I don't think I can manage to stay up after midnight to get the images posted tonight, but I am usually an early bird so can get them done before I head off to Go-Ape Margam Park with the family tomorrow morning.
