So, I got this Tamron 35-70 model 17A a little while back for about £15 on ebay. It is almost unused - as was its Adaptall/Nikon adapter. I sold the adapter for £13 - hence its a two quid lens ;-)
Because its a short zoom the abberations are well controlled. Its f3.5 from end to end and pretty good wide open. It has an unexpectedly useful macro ablity (and a very cute mechanical trick up its sleeve) and its actually rather sharp if you catch it in the right mood.
