Hi guys,

frankly i joined the forum last week for a very simple reason - i am visiting UK next week and i want to test my luck whether if i can find good reasonably priced lens for my E-410. So here i am :)

I visit the 43rds-user forum and site since i got my dslr, and only found out this forum after searching around. Glad to find it because it speaks english (duh!) and there are many useful information here.

I have found my upgrade already, and it should arrive at my friend's place before i arrive next week. Can't wait to use it for scenery shooting at the Highland and London :)

That's all for the short hello. Thank you ;)

regards,
wahlau.

Where are you visiting here in the UK? Are you staying for long?

HI Ian,

Thanks...

My wife and i will arrive at Edinburgh, and we will do the Skye 3 days tour with the MacBackpackers :) then we will go down to London for another 5 days.

Just a short 10 days holiday to break away from our normal lives.

any Olympus garage sale in UK? :)

Visitors to London invariably want to see Tower Bridge, in which case I advise them to visit their web site for scheduled bridge lifts, which are well worth seeing:

Enjoy your visit!

You will love Skye it has a magical quality, and if the wheather is good the light is fantastic. Here is a shot from a couple of years back shot from Skye back to the mainland the light really brings extra meaning to Olympus blue

Enjoy your stay

p.s. so what lens did you go for a nice wide angle or something long?

Hi,

thanks for the shot - boy i wish the weather next week will be kind to us. Being born in South East Asia, even with the years lived in Germany i still find the weather and cold not really something i can enjoy :) Still i look forward for a nice day in Skye with trekking gears ready :) *keep finger crossed*

I only got myself a trusty 14-54mm, though i secretly wished for a 9-18mm but just cannot justify the purchase since i don't usually need wide angle and 9-18mm second hand is still way from my budget.

i hope i don't sound so cheapskate ;) just someone working within his needs and budget for the best - and i believe very much the four third system can give me that.

regards,
wahlau.

Welcome to the forum Wahlau

There is a lot to see in Edinburgh if you are here for two days. You might enjoy a few stories and tours about the history of Edinburgh
