I shot these in the Helmsley walled Garden today.

I am no gardener, but my wife says these are Tiger Lilys.

I would appreciate if someone can confirm this, and better still, tell the name of the Variety.

Correct. There ware many varieties.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was pretty sure they were Tiger Lilys, but I have never seen any with the petals in this lantern shape. Usually they are star-fish shaped. I wonder if "star-fish shaped" will catch on as a botanical term?

That link you sent proves there is something fishy here, but paper? I thought that was something to do with roses.
