If you mean the official Oly version then it will always be expensive for what it is - just a mechanical coupling. I went for the Far East version for about 12 - no problems to date.

Conversely, I bought the Official Olympus version from Hong Kong (still saving quite a bit on the UK retail) - and have been kicking myself ever since that I didn't buy a fleabay clone version for less than a third of the price...

The only points are the obvious ones with anything on fleabay... only buy from dealers with plenty of good feedback for the identical item. I have heard of a couple of slightly tight/ loose versions but most are fine.

Be aware that all the adaptors (including Oly's) focus beyond infinity. This isn't a problem, so long as you focus by eye and don't rely on the infinity setting engraved on the lens.
