Hiya

Just thought I'd say hi, I'm new here :)

I'm Garrie's other half and have recently been given his E-500 camera (when he bought his E-510), which means we can go out shooting together.

Looking forward to learning new tips/techniques and sharing photo's with everyone.

Cheers

Welcome Susan... as long as it is with cameras then that's fine :) Looking forward to seeing some of your images.

Seasons greetings to you both.

Hi Susan

Welcome to the site. No doubt Garry has pointed out that we are a friendly lot.
I recently upgraded to the E3 but still have the E500 + 2 kit lens I purchased mid 2005. I was/am pleased with this particular model and its lens. So much so I will NOT be disposing of it but use it as a back-up camera and loan camera for the family (it should stop any requests for the loan of the E3 which I jealously guard;)).

Enjoy and good shooting

Garrie

I have trouble using both pp & wp and have lots to learn, including improving my photography:(

It great to have family members on here as its such a friendly site and I guess will add to the competition between you.

Happy New Year to you and Susan*snowflake

Eeeek nowt like pressure lol :)

I can definately give advice on layer masking, whitening backgrounds and actions but colour space I'm not too sure about. Although my methods for the processes that I use do do these steps may not be the correct way to do them, but I have found they work :)

I like to use selective colour in photo's, especially in those of my cat Fern. I tend to use layer masks for these types of photo's. Whitening backgrounds is normally a mish mash of various techniques I'm afraid.

When my heads not as fuzzy I'll try and put a wee guide or tips on how to together :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone, Garrie has told me what a friendly bunch you all are. Really looking forward to spenidng some tiem on here (and skiving when I get back to work lol)

Cheers

Susan

Welcome. It is good to hear from you as well as about you from Garrie - I have just one small question.

Why does Garrie have a blue head? Is there a story I missed?

Good shooting.
