I seriously thought about swpping brands and getting the GX5 because of the dedicated buttons and I love the way you can "draw" an AF area or focus shift area on the back screen (just a really nice implementation)

It looks like If I was to pixel peep (which I don't) I have made the right decision, because the Oly just comes out a little ahead in this DXO testing

I have to say I am slowly getting to grips with the complex Oly Menu's and the reprogrammable buttons - in another year or 2 I should have mastered it

Forget it - they'll have progressively added 25 new functions to the menus in 2 years time :eek:

Those pixel-peeping differences are pretty small, but they probably would add up to be sometimes visible in everyday output, especially in low light.

My biggest beef with the GH5 (which I agree has some really nice handling tweaks) is the size. That 'prism' on the top seemed significantly beefier than the Mki or ii Olympus and it tipped over my personal size watershed.
