View Full Version : The Parting Kiss of Day

I was watching a somewhat bizarre quirky movie, an American cult film, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_Brother,_Where_Art_Thou%3F)
as the last rays of parting day shone through the window onto a 30 year old portrait I painted of my long departed mate,
artist, Blair Gamble (https://www.markgreenhill.com.au/artworks-1970-80). It took my eye, so I hastily snapped it with my phone before the effect quickly vanished.
I thought the movie title suited the painting. Do such enlightened moments sometimes happen to you?

iso - We were both questioning my taste in movies - just so happened to be screening at the time. Our ABC and SBS "Free to Air" TV has mostly old titles, "Vicar of Dibley", "Antiques Road Show with Fiona Bruce", "Nigella (even better!)" "As Time Goes By", and so on.
