Has anyone tried one of these and would it fit on a E-1. I saw one of these at Maplins and noticed how much cheaper SD cards were for the same capacity plus my Sony Vaio accepts SD cards as standard no reader required.

I looked at one but was told that the SD card protudes from the adapter so that the door on the camera wouldn't close. This isn't first hand experience, just something to consider.

Hi, personally I've never tried one, but I would have thought that this offer from the 7 day shop would take some beating for CF cards; less than 8 for 4Gbyte

MyMemory are usually worth a squint too, but the 3 for 2 offer seems to have finished

Just don't but any off ebay, or at least be very very careful if you do; lots of forgeries about.

My son had just this problem. So thought he could file away a bit of the card

As you can guess, he very quickly went to far and exposed (and damaged the internals of the card) :o

So that lesson cost him 5 for something I could have told him for free

Thanks all for the replies I shall go to 7dayshop and get some of the 8gb cards on offer, the Kingston x133, as I have a lot of plant and flower shots to take over the next few months...

Thanks Bill.
I am not sure I am correct here being a "new boy" but as I tend to capture a shot in a measured way (landscape and plants) speed of capture would not be that important. So as your test seems to prove they meet their quoted buffer time I will still go ahead at that price. If you think ,or any others do, that I am misreading the situation please do not hesitate to reply.
