If you want to put names to plants or animals you have photographed, or just want to know what is out there, these books are on offer. (I purchased two myself today). The British Insects book is the one I use almost daily in the season.

One of the books exceeded expectations: Collins Tree Guide. I wanted it because mushrooms are associated with various tree species.

To see pages of twigs with bud types and arrangements is new to me. The book covers a huge range of "tree" sizes e.g. Dogwood and many cultivated ones, including varieties and hybrids. The section on conifers takes up about a third of the book.
