Has anyone had this virus and managed to get rid of it.

Its only an advertising thing, no significant harm done I gather, but my McAfee let it in and can't get rid of it.

Plenty of com- on's on the web, but suspect they are further worms/virus's.

(Using a clean computer here........)

:(:(

if you use google to find it, there is a youtube video on how to remove.

Malwarebytes is good for removing malicious adware, and I think is still free.

I wouldn't trust McAfee (or Norton for that matter).

I have Kaspersky on all of my machines and have no issues at all. It also has minimal impact on speed.

I'd go with Malwarebytes

Malwarebytes sorted it I think.

It found 1734 PUP's!!

Of course not all by any means bad stuff, but hopefully has cleared any nasty bits.

So many thanks for that. cross fingers all is now sorted.

Pleased to hear that. Some of this code is written so that it is next to impossible to remove. I had some particularly persistent code that could only be removed by running Malwarebytes in Windows Safe Mode.

Malwarebytes has been in trouble with Reviversoft recently for identifying their software as, for the first time after not doing so for many years, as PUPs. In fact, only today, my Registry Reviver went missing and I have just had to reinstall it. I have yet to identify the culprit.

Malawarebytes was the must trusted of its kind for many year but maybe its time has come.
