Does anyone know how the dial s come off the top of the camera? I've got an om10 with missing front dial and damaged camera with the dial (shutter button front dial) how do I swap the dial from the broken camera to the working one?

Carefully dismantle the sacrificial damaged camera, all should become clear. My guess is that the top plate with all the dials, buttons and twidldly bits is a sub-assembly connected to the flexi limbs of the main circuit board with all the clever stuff. If I'm correct, then swap the top plates over, if you can work out how to remove the thing.
It would be great if Heynes produced repair manuals, in which case you could nip along to Smiths and browse the 'ins and outs' at the book shelf. The way we did when some of us couldn't afford to pay a mechanic to repair our cars!

Really entertaining watching the above. Best of luck to you if you do it yourself!

Referring to the part where he talks about the soldered connections for the flash. If you need to remove the top plate completely, you will need either a suction desoldering tool or solder wick (available from Farnell or Radio Spares, for example), plus a temperature controlled soldering iron. And of course some solder and flux to remake the joint (best to buy the type that has both combined) and some isopropyl to clean up.
