This is a link I found on bbc news website for Muhammad Roem who is a macro photographer in Asia. From looking at a couple of his images they look amazing. Anyone know what camera is featured in one of the shots?

His 500px page says he uses a Sony Alpha 290.

I love his shots do you think he will have added any artificial light or do you think the natural environment in those parts of the world would have sufficed?

If you check out Frank Rückert on the Olympus OMD Owners Club page on Facebook he does some amazing macros with Olympus gear.

Id say his photos are even more spectacular, Im still clueless how he is getting the light for his macro shots, they just look perfect.

Both od those are good macro photographers the
Mohammad Roen talks of using the Canon 65mm M PE which is an amazing lens which I suspect was used for of the shots shown.

I agree Alf exceptional indeed. I was lucky enough to see some of those at Oxford this year. It's very specialised stuff he's certainly very dedicated. As an ex microscopist myself I can really appreciate the attention to detail he's got.

Amazing stuff going to dedicate this yr to capturing the small things in life having tried a few over christmas.
