Somebody's selling an empty cardboard box for 30 on EBay. For only 9.99 you can get a one year warranty. There's some bargains to be had if you keep your eyes open.

You can also buy an E-M5 box from the same seller - this one has a manual and a CD for an extra 10 :o

The seller is listing a number of other odd things at very high prices?

I think the 'i' in his username is before the wrong 's'.

He has some even more expensive items for sale.

EDIT: oops crossed with AMc's post :)

I see it has a small tear in the outer sleeve. Just think how much a 'minter' would be worth!

I wonder what he is on? Must be drinking too much Apple juice! :D

I see he is also selling a Nokia cable for just 9,876!

Nokia CA-75U Cable for only 9876.00! (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nokia-CA-75U-Cable-/252604573075?hash=item3ad067e593:g:X-cAAOSw-4BXaGq2)

Proves you can sell anything to gullible people with more money then sense.

I wonder if his second name is Jobs?

Considering they are also on sale for a few quid then it's going to be a hard sell. Mind you, you only need to sell one I guess.

Just as well no one on this forum suffers GAS. ;)

If it is, it proves you can take it with you.

Hope Olympus don't find this out when I sent my ME1 back during the early close down problem I was told not to send it back in the original box. It was returned to me in a ME1 box if they still do this we may be charged.

On the other hand how many repairs and returns in pristine boxes to be sold on EBay to pay for an OMD ME1 MkII?

I've a few leftovers from when my OMD-EM5 Mki was stolen. So a Pany 25 f/1.4 box and lens hood, the kit box for the EM5, probably the mini-flash, perhaps a box for the Oly 12 f/2, the official leather half case and top case which annoyingly doesn't fit the Em5ii which i got as a replacement, also I've got a microphone which might not attach to em5ii.

One day I'll post them up to see if anyone is interested.

I love the way the listing includes reviews of the EM1 camera

I don't actually remember anyone commenting on the quality of the box it was delivered in in any of the reviews I read

Yeahbut - to be fair the postage is free!

I see in another thread that at a recent event the EM-1 Mk II camera was locked in a glass cabinet. I wonder if this was to avoid the possibility of the highly expensive box being stolen while it was on display? :)

Interested in this offer (I only have two EM1 boxes in the loft). Have asked the seller a question before I decide whether to buy........

And I had a response 'Yes all the inner compartments are included. Under the manual flap there are all the original dividers.

I have just added a picture of the final tier into the listing so you can see clearly'.

In one of my many moves in the days before the interweb I threw out a garbage bag full of Olympus boxes and a shoebox full of manuals and OM literature. If I'd kept them I could have retired by now.

TBF adding very high prices to eBay and Amazon Marketplace listings is quite common, I believe it allows the seller to keep the item number/listing current when they have no stock and they just reduce it back down when they get more.

Likewise I can see if you've had your camera nicked then you might want to get rid of the extras rather than just bin them. They might be good for someone.
When we were burgled the insurance assessor took all the boxes and manuals for our electronics - to help with valuation and replacement and as he said "because not everyone is honest :o.

The box prices are crazy though so I assume it's an attempt to catch the unwary, if it looks too good to be true...

it's been relisted (many of you may have had that email)

to save you having to look the price has been reduced...

By ONE whole pound!

Think I would get enough to fund that EM1ii? I have vintage box for E1, E-30, E-330, ZD50-200, EC14, ZD 70-300, ZD11-22 & Lumix 14-150. Not so vintage box for all the m4/3 stuff I own. :D

I once bought a DVD box set from eBay and it arrived direct from Amazon. The seller had made a couple of pounds on the deal. :o

Looking at their other items for sale they might get lucky, who knows? Anyone fancy an E-PL6 body for 374.99 for instance? The cheeky so-and-so is keeping one of the power cables though :D
