It was due along the Settle-Carlisle line today but as it was foul wet weather I didn't bother going on a hunt. Seems it was running a good half hour late too so I'd have got even wetter! The UK Steam Info (http://www.uksteam.info/index.htm) web site is useful for chasing steam trains.

For those who fancy having a look in their area the best source is the UK Steam web page.

The Flying Scotsman is 60103 so if you search on 60103 you will find currently 31 listings for 2016. The next listing is the 25 Feb is from Kings Cross to York. About a week before it goes if you visit the UK steam web page and click on "Times" you will get a detailed timetable of stations and times along the route. Well worth having a look in your local area and explore interesting viewpoints. Successful photos for this one is in the planning.
